Just wondering if any1 here has had the following problem or knows what's wrong.

I have now attempted to download the file GhettoLife 2 from http://pod-135.dolphin-server.co.uk/~ch ... d=759&idP= 3 times, and the file actually downloads fine, but when I try to play it in my Windows Media Player, It actually plays, but I get silence for the whole length of the file.

I have tried this with other files from the sound vault just to be sure Media Player is set up correctly etc and this is the only file I have this problem with.

Any ideas anyone?

Is there anywhere else I can get hold of the same file (for those who didn't know, it's GhettoLife's 2nd demo where they introduce Comedy Dave as 'Choc Ice', but NOT the 1 with Pete Waterman)

Yer i had same problem with that film but i just put it down to my Pc at the time.

make sure your 'Wave' Channel in the windows mixer is not muted or turned down, for some reason, occasional files turn the channel down randomly.

Mine not muted I checked that when I first played it.

Give it a try in another media player. Windows media player is pooh after all.

I tried using 3 different players when i originally downloaded it.

Still no joy.

I think it used to play OK in the player I used to have (MusicMatch Jukebox I think) but I can't find the installer I had for that program. Gonna try the suggestion about the windows mixer, but I can't find it, I'm using Windows 98 so would wave channel be under Volume controls?
