Re: "The Eminem Song" (aka Toy Soldiers)
This song is basically about hip hop beefs. Since forever, Ja Rule and Eminem haven't got on. I think it stems from an interview that Ja Rule did in a magazine which first brought Eminem to light in the public eye.
Then, 50 Cent comes along, and he's part of the same record label as Eminem (Shady Aftermath), so Ja Rule has to dislike him too (using football as an analogy, it's sort of like Tottenham fans all hating all Arsenal players and vica-versa. God know what'd happen if 50 Cent went to Def Jam (Ja Rule's record label)). So in some songs, Ja Rule calls him little and says he could kill him, he wouldn't miss with the 9 bullets etc.
However, Eminem doesn't really want to bother retaliating, because to be fair, it's probably not worth it. The reason he has retaliated (via this song) is because Ja Rule mentioned doing something bad to Hailie (Eminem's daughter).
Eminem's soldiers are his 'crew'. Basically, he's earnt so much respect in the streets (I'm cringing while typing that by the way!!!) that a lot of people would do anything for him, including assault or murder Ja Rule.
Now you guys can listen to the song, still not care, but be a little bit more enlightened in life
