Can anyone tell me how I run the sound machine?

I've downloaded it but when I try to open it, it just tells me to unzip the file or something. I do this, but I can't seem to get it running.

It's probably something really obvious and I'll seem like an idiot once you point it out  , but someone please help anyway.

Cheers.

I've just got it running fine.

From the top:
1. Click the button to download.
2. It'll prompt to ask you what you want to do with the file. Click on 'Open'.
3. The file will download.
4. WinZip should appear (assuming you use winzip)
5. Double click on 'SoundMachine.exe'
6. A 'WinZip Self-Extractor' dialogue box will appear. Type in the location that you want to extract the Sound Machine files to, for example "c:\chrismoyles.net Sound Machine" - this is the default, then click 'Unzip'
7. Use explorer to navigate to c:\chrismoyles.net Sound Machine (or wherever you extracted the files to)
8. Double click on 'SoundMachine.exe'

Hope this helps.

I have a problem getting the SoundmachineDX to work. I have no problems using the normal sound machine but I get the message "Unable to start Direct sound" when I try to open soundmachineDX.

I have d/l the Direct X prog. I have got this working previously but for some reason it isnt now.

Any ideas anyone?

go to run and type in dxdiag then select the sound tab and test direct sound if it works then enable hardware sound acceleration.
