Perhaps it is the alcohol or the incredible amount of hype, or perhaps its becasue it's shown on the BBC, which isn't as cutting edge as Channel 4. It all just seems a bit dull, and like it doesn't appeal to a wide auience.

I still don't get what made BB 'cutting edge' or what actually gave it that certain something, 'cos I can't see it. Turned on the TV this morning, what was on E4 - loads of people asleep in the US BB (by the way one of the blokes in there looks like Sven.)

Possibly FA is better than BB because for one thing the prize is a lot more than £70,000 (I think, don't they get a contract?) Also, it's not constantly on and in your face, but then again I still won't be watching.

I always enjoyed Moyles take on BB and FA and the two Aled features when I could listen to it, 'cos I hadn't seen it and could listen and then chat to people about what was going on, but I won't be watching FA any more than I watched BB.

I don't think BB is cutting edge, I think Channel 4 is more cutting edge, and knows how to present programmes as if they are cutting edge. BB is an old formula that still seems to work.

Ad- I think that's a good way to describe FA, it just seems to clean, not alot happening and not as much press coverage.

But I still think aled should do the updates cos this is just mine and a few others opinions, there's like 6m more bloody listeners to consider.

i personally can't wait for popidol, but ill always take an interest in fa. the concept was still fairly new from the bbc. i didnt understand, i just havent seen enough coverage in the press and to recently read a post from popbitch regarding the fact that they are all signed to some form of record company or have a connection with the music industry (whether not that is true - i wont know) is very incouraging. the general public took caution with the failing of Hear'say. popidol has made the likes of will young and gareth gates, whom has become popular artists but i havent seen the same for david snedders.

i feel the bbc is still trying to capture some of the glory and get some of the success for itself. what itv and channel 4 have done with popidol. the thing itv did with setting two bands up, one true voice and girls aloud (one true voice still around?) was interesting and only time can tell if girls aloud really make it to the dizzzy heights of what the spice girls achieved. people arent giving some people a chance, and im willing to bet you that girls aloud will make it, it only takes one song and you've popped it. we are on a constant rotation of these concepts to please us - constantly being feed new ideas day in day out.

comparing to big brother, fame academy is too clean - its trying to be hard to be a poor mans pop idol. you could always say its a mixture of both big brother and popidol in one.

jumping on the wagon maybe happening with these constant celeb fa's, celeb big broher and ahhh get me out of her, im a celeb. its getting boring.

sorry - but lets face its aled more people were probably watching fa than chris's tv show - the people watching that probably added up to the amount of lost in the last three months from your breakfast show. i know you cant agree cause he's your dj boss.

channel 4 cutting edge?

sex tips for girls

'i love the 1900's (do you remember those sunday afternoons's in the park watching another vagrant being executed?)'

However, Big Brother was cutting edge due to its length of live and pre-empted broadcasting and lack of planned content. It was daring, risky but paid off in the long run.

The first three BB's were good TV viewing. Each one started off slowly but some entertainment was created towards the end which generated good audience figures.

This series however.............

oh dear.

Now surely it musn't be to difficult to find 10 or so vaugley interesting people out of a nation of millions. Full credit to the makers of big brother however, who managed to defy the odds and actually found the 12 dullest people in the country.

Once again prooving my ever so complicated theroy that TV programming is shite nowdays because many people involved involved in the business are..shite.

In fact they could have paid me the entire wages for BB researches, give me a tenth of the interviewing time and I could have minced my ass down to Mencap and come back with some contestants more articulate than tania, more attractive then steph and more sexually skilled then cameron.

Lets get something straight, Jon Tickle is an arse. If some of you are turned on by star wars talk, scout skills and coolness on par with a one legged burglar in Farmer Tony Martin's living room then that is up to you. Personally, i'd compare Mr Tickle to the strongest being out of a batch of rather weak and lifeless thread worm. Someone really ought to tell him that now he's back in the real world, whatever x factor he did have in the house has been lost quicker than an england cricket test match.

.......Really someone ought to tell him, or are we going to treat him in the same manner which we did to David Baddiel? the poor guy still doesn't realise that his audience's are the crafted from the handy work of
of blue peter viewers.

Wise words trasheepoos...

Fame Academy didn't get going until weekk 3 or 4... until there was some action.

I dont think an FA Update would be wise until theres weeknightly programmes.

We're looking at doing it twice weekly on Moyles at the beginning. Chris has an interest in the show but he doesn't care enough for it, and neither do our audience (yet) for it to be a daily report.

What do you think of the "scam" that the majority already have deals/contracts. People are annoyed that the kind of talent they advertised for like buskers are being overlooked in favour of people.
And how crap is the Bee Gee. He doesnt say anything bad about them. Hes really scared that he will get a boo, its embarrasing. I saw Saturdays, why was head Park not there. Surely he has to be there, unless hes given up on them too.

im just reading a bit of news of the world from yesterday about carolynne good. this is the first paragraph of it.

"Fame Academy beauty Carolynne Good sang with pleasure as she watched her boyfriend's bare bottom bounce rhythmically up and down on top of her through the reflection in his car sunroof"

top quality writing there. says she has dated rio ferdinand and went on blind date.
