The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I've only ever been in Orkney a few times (stopped over on the ferry a few times aswell) but it has this new club which looks quite cool. I see Ocean Colour Scene are there next month, and Judge Jules and Dave Pearce have been there (whopee) but other than that it's rather boring I believe. Shetland doesn't have anything like that.

Shetland does sometimes get the odd random people up. The Proclaimers were here in July, and the lead singer of the Inspiral Carpets was up recently, but not many people, and not much to do. It's fine if you like walking, and bird watching... but not many people (including me) do.

I think they should have come to Newport Pagnell, it's a great town (for town read overgrown village.) They make quite a big thing out of it as well, lots of stalls all day, half the High Street gets closed off to traffic... Just haven't had any celebs (I don't think.)

Dave Pearce is going to Orkney again. I would have gone, only £11 on the boat, but I'm not 18. I went to that Proclaimers gig, but the crowd only really went for 500 miles. Besides that, Pulp came here about 6 odd years ago, and Idlewild. That's about it for fame.

Inspiral Carpets, Mark Burgess? Oohoooh that night..hmm. Mark was quite cool though.

I really wanna go and see Ocean Colour Scene, and I'm sure it's the Inservice weekend at school. Idlewild were fantastic. Not to mention Steve Lamacq!

Na, Mark Burgess was from the Chameleons, not Inspiral Carpets. I don't think the Inspiral Carpets played a hall - but Mark Burgess was still fantastic.

It is I believe in service, so you could easily go. But I doubt any tickets would be left now, it was advertised before the October holidays. Big Brother winner Cameron is also in Aberdeens Panto this year. I'm actually there when its on, you can win tickets in the local paper....

I'm going away the week after, so I can't get more school off, I don't think my teachers would sign me off for "going to see moyles switch on lights"..I guess it depends on how much they liked him.

I know... if only I had been more on the ball! David makes a note not to go to Aberdeen this year.

If I were to go... the teachers would HAVE to let me go... otherwise I would be leaving school.
