That seems the obvious answer to me. The bbc sites are all far too safe.

Chatroom got closed for obvious reasons relating to current affairs.

I think that if the beeb linked to this site though the forum would have to be moderated alot more heavily than it is at the mo.

This site is linked from here:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainmen ... 276851.stm

To be fair to Scott, he did ask if I minded him posting so if you want to help him, please do. If you'd rather suggest what you'd like to see on a Chris Moyles site to me, then please do that instead. Ideas and opinions are always welcomed.

The BBC site has one big advantage over ours, and that's that they have access to material and news that we don't. On the other hand, we have much more freedom to publish what we want - as well as having access to a nice self-moderating message board.

Why would they take away the chatroom for the Chris Moyles show and not any other show? The only chats the BBC have now are the Mark and Lard show, Lamacq Live, Zane Lowe and Official Chart Show.

Okay - I now admit they have significantly reduced the chat rooms and favoured more for the messageboards.

The BBC have a link of this site anyway somewhere as Gaspode has already pointed out - just not on the Chris Moyles Minisite. I don't think it would be a good idea to do this - its okay with the amount of people that there is - to have 'loads' would be silly.

(Note: I was writing this when Chris posted his)

OK, thanks for the feedback - it's all good, and thanks for replying...

I'll give you answers to the points that you've made so far soon, but I don't want to say anything that might spoil a great idea you've had, or make you think "Ah, they're not going to do that..."

So for now, I'll say nowt, and keep it coming:

Sent mine in.

And Scott - it might be easier to put 'Scott @ Radio 1 Online' in the signature bit.

i meant in like a favourite links section of the minisite.
the listen again without the music is a must.
some new flash games and screensavers would be ok
the mini pops was a good idea but it was basically a nicked job that was none of your doing.
the entire bbc message board, not just the moyles one needs a complete overhaul. why cant the bbc use boards like these?

That's an excellent idea, but I can't see them doing it. Not without the music anyway.

They probably don't like using third-party software. You might even need to pay to use phpBB for corporate perposes, I'm not sure.

I'm sure the BBC can afford it.

That would be a massive messageboard. Considering how many different shows etc are on the bbc.

Having said that - thats something I said in the feedback.
By Dopey

or many thousands of little messageboards.

Surely they'd have a seperate board for each show though, like they do now.

EDIT: The dopey one beat me to this suggestion.

I thought it was all on one centralised server for each area (one for radio 1, one for radio 2 etc.)

OK, don't bother about all the details and the technical stuff - just let me know what you think about the site, the features, it's design, what you like, what you don't.

I'll give it the weekend, plus another few days, and then I'll probably have to call it a day, so for possibly the last time, let me know what you think on this page here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chrismoyles ... back.shtml

Thanks Again

Most people here agree that these cartoons are cheesy and rubbish.

It'll probably be better to get rid of them altogther than try and make new ones.
