Well I was never a proper boy racer anyway. The music was loud, but I always kept the speed in moderation.

not always - but if you said jump off a cliff, then im unlikely to go and do that. come to think about it, its nowhere near 3000£

Well mine was over £1000 for six months and my car only cost £650!

I think it's stupid how it's the law to have insurance. Insurance companies are bound to rip people off because it's something everybody needs. Each person should be insured for the damage they do to their own car, not the damage they do to anyone else's.

It's not just the speed people don't like about boy racers or rude boys as they're known round here, it's the loud music and pointless changes made to the car (De badging, big speaker systems, lowering suspension, blacked out windows etc etc)

Nah, I never did any of that. I got a new stereo when I bought it because it only had AM radio and no tape deck. I never made any changes to the speakers or suspension or anything.

It's another result of a google image search.

The insurance wouldn't cost that much actually because if you could drive one it would mean you'd have a HGV licence, so in theory you're a very good driver.

so any granny who wants to cross the road should have to be insured incase she gets knocked down by a car? and why should your insurance pay for damages to your new lexus if some gimp in an xr3i ploughs into it? it would make it impossible to give lower insurance to those who don't cause accidents.

I phoned Woolwich Insurance to find out what the insurance on a Tonka truck would be (I only phoned Woolwich Insurance as I work for the Woolwich (sort of) so figured on getting a staff discount).

Anyway, insurance for a Tonka truck? About £5 a year.
