right. i'm not british, and i know my country's national anthem, but it's easty as my country is only made of one nation. the u.k., for what my feeble interpritation of british history may be, is a conglomorated state created by 4 (maybe 5 if you believe that cornwall really exists) distinct nations. thereby, each nation can have an official national anthem, but the state has a separate one. why is it the english or scottish football team in major international play, and not the british team? the same could be said for rugby and many other things. answer me this you silly brits!

there is england, wales, scotland etc in Rugby but also The British Lions and Great Britain teams. Also Kendra we do all have distinct national anthems its just England chooses to use the same one as the rest of the UK.

the thing is i'd like to see scotland an wales try to cope on their own. they would lose a lot with connections to England. Personally i cant wait for the North West Assembly so we can break away too....

England is Great Britain. Wales and Scotland want their independance, I think we should let them have it. I'd much rather be known as an English citizen rather than a British citizen.
