I don't agree that they clog up Ramble - at the moment there are two sport threads on the go and normally there's just the one. I think the Aussie Open thread should just be redesignated as the Tennis 2009 thread, rather than being purely for the Australian Open; that way there won't be a new one started for the French, Wimbledon or the US.
