The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

dont know if its been done before but heres the game.

i would say the name of a song slightly different to what it is, change the words.

for example. if i said

"one more eats the dirt", i would be describing "another one bites the dust" by queen

or

"not keeping my faith", i would be describing "losing my religion".

the idea is to guess it and suggest a new one.

so here's the first to start you off

"monarch of the motorway"

Ok, here's a cryptic one I come up with;

Down after weekend, Oxford done May, mixed without drug (4,6)

Should be easy for any of you who regularly do the Times Crossword!

Cryptic clues are made of a 'straight' clue, and the cryptic element. Here's the breakdown;

Down after weekend: (Feeling down is 'Blue', after weekend is 'Monday'

Oxford: Is 'Blue', as in Oxford Blue

done May, mixed without drug: 'Monday' is an anagram (hence 'mixed') of 'done May', but without the drug, being the letter 'e'.

There, simple

So, not only do you read the Times, but you also worked that out?

that sentence didnt make sense

either you wanted to say

my iq is only surpassed by my shoe size

OR

my iq is only superseded by my show size

Your quite right there. In my defence, it's late on a Friday night and I'm simaltaneously watching the tele. But would I be correct in thinking that my shoe-size would surpress my IQ if I put my head in a shoe that was too tight and therefore stopped my brain functioning to it's optimum level.
