would it be bad for my health to drink sea monkeys?

some person bought me some as part of their secret santa present for me but theyre not doing anything!

the first couple of days i couldnt see them through a magnifying glass because they were so small but now i can and all they do is swim in tiny circles.

if i could make some money out of a dare to drink them should i, or is it best to keep them and see what happens.

any help from anyone whos kept them or wants to advise me please

I'm sure it wouldn't harm you to drink them. It'd be fun to do it as part of a drinking game, down a shot of sea monkeys as a forfeit or something like that!

I used to have sea monkeys. Wouldn't they swim around you if you drank them?

Erm, what are sea monkeys? Just little monkey-looking creatures that go in the water?

Yeah that's right .. they'll swim around in your stomach acid, just like all that cress which plants itself in your intestines and keeps growing ..

Good idea then! Or, even better, try it on your little brother (if you've got one) first.

Mean People Eat Sea-Monkeys

Sea-Monkeys are edible,
some folks think it's just fine,
but it would be murder
to eat a shrimp of brine.

Sea-Monkeys are edible,
Some people think it's yummy,
but just remember this one phrase:
"You're killing friends, you dummy!"

Sea-Monkeys are on the web,
It is very handy,
but the Sea-Monk Worship Site
is just the most dandy!

My little sister has loads, three tank fulls behind me. I wouldnt eat them, hers have been living quite a while, eeurk. They look scary, plus once they die, you dry them out and you can re use them. Hmm.

Sea Monkeys also react to light when they get a bit bigger. (ie, keep them in a dark room, and then shine a torch around the bowl and they'll follow it. You can (alledgly) get them to do 'tricks' that way.)

As for drinking them. The sea monkeys would be fine, but the water they swim in would be pretty foul.

Wonder if sea monkeys survive in beer

Mmm, I've seen that. She keeps them in the dark for an hour and then they go mental and spin around. I sadly know too much.

Well, you have to "purify" the water, before you put them in, but erm with all that food and gunk at the bottom, oooh er. I couldnt do it.

You let all the water evaporate - then put more purified water in and they can come back to life.

So they never really die? Sounds like a miracle of nature (or a freak of nature, one of the two.)

good idea.

if i pour in some cordial then shine a torch on the tank and move it round in small circles, in theory, i could use them to mix drinks.

giggly, i dont think id drink that water i think id probably strain them out then put them in a glass.

the thing is nobody could be arsed to look after them if i went on holiday but i saw on t'internet a suggestion to just put them in the freezer and then defrost them when i get bk.

drink them or use them as cheap labour in a * bar? tough choice.
