I spotted this in the Daily Mirror today, its very interesting

THERE were fears last night for the health of Five presenter Christian O'Connell, who collapsed minutes after a carpeting from boss Chris Evans.
The 30-year-old was taken to task by Evans, who produces his chat show on Five, following cutting remarks in a newspaper.
O'Connell, also an Xfm DJ, was found on his dressing room floor on Wednesday after what looks like a panic attack.
Medics got him back on his feet, but he wasn't well enough to host Five's planned Matrix Special from Leicester Square.
Five had to pull the plug on the programme and O'Connell is now off ill. Richard Bacon will stand in for him.
O'Connell has had a stormy relationship with Evans, who hired the Irishman to replace DJ Chris Moyles in February.
And, O'Connell revealed to a newspaper that jokes about Evans' court battle with Virgin Radio had not gone down well.
O'Connell said: "He wasn't best pleased to say the least - but I'm doing a television show for the audience not for him."
The presenter admitted he had pinched tickets for premieres from Evans to give away on the show.
He said: "He genuinely did go berserk - it was a ginger meltdown." They also clashed when O'Connell refused to have the Stereophonics on his show. "I couldn't give a s*** what he thinks," he told the newspaper.
Last night a TV insider said: "It's not known what Evans said to O'Connell but it clearly shook him.
"His behaviour has been increasingly erratic and his career at Five is now very uncertain." A spokesperson for Five said: "Christian has been signed off for two weeks with exhaustion. "We don't know about his row with Chris, but it wouldn't have happened in front of us anyway."

I think the lesson from this is obvious. People named Chris can't make TV Shows

found chris moyles attempt to present the Big Breakfast (with Richard Bacon) on tape last week.... he improved for LWCM - trust me!

i think Evans should get Moyles back for 2 weeks - that'd be funny!

It doesn't make it clear if Richards standing in for him on five or XFM. I don't want Richard to do live with..., it was painful enough watching Chris. Its not gonna work and I love him too much to see him put through that  Watching him on TOTP nearly kills me, he can't do the straight to camera thing at all, give him room to be his random self and hes great.

I didn't even know he was still doing the show. I only watched it a few times ages ago and thought it was worse than when Moyles did it. I'll watch it to see if Richard Bacon can make a bad show any good.

lol, that was original an idea for his radio show he did for a while, but it works better on TV, the visual part makes it so much funnier. God knows how many supermarkets he's been banned from!

In my opinion Richard Bacon was/is hilarious - better than Christian O' Connell and Moyles on TV... Him on Johny Vaughn tonight made the show.

no, i think you'll find johnny vaughan on johnny vaughan tonight made the show. the bit bacon was in was johnny's idea, but bacon was very funny in it. i think its just the whole link up between them that's great. they should do more stuff together.

If you mean the supermarket bit (when it was on I didn't have BBC3 so have only seen clips on BBC2) then I'm sure the feature was Richard's idea, cos as I said he used it on his radio show before doing Johnny Vaughan tonight. Though maybe Johnny had the idea and gave it to Richard to use, I could be wrong. Are they doing another series of Johnny Vaughan? I hope so cos I've got BBC3 now and would really like to watch it.

BBC3 and BBC4 are useless, theres nothing on them. Also the fact that they start at 7pm too, surely they could do repeats of last nights bargain hunt/eastenders/weakest link/liquid news during the day. They have Burn It which although starring Lisa Faulkner, aint my cup of tea, A Vinnie Jones documentary which was so poorly watched, theyve canned the last 10 episodes. The rest seems to be taken up by films youve seen before twice on BBC1, but incase you hadnt we'll show them again (rush hour!). BBC4 is supposed to be Radio 4 but for television, wheres the comedy then like Dead Ringers, The Now Show, Just A Minute, Im Sorry I Havent A Clue, The News Quiz etc, dont see it anywhere.
