reading through my bio revision guide just now i came across a whole page on the IRRI
beleive it or not it's the internation rice research institution, "the main center for the selctive breeding of rice".
how pathetic is that. im guessing this is their claim to fame "by the 1960's, semi-dwarf varieties of rice had been bred" i mean whoopee s**t. there is no point.
so i guessed at typing in http://www.irri.org and guess what, their site came up.
they even have a whats new section with a newsletter.
why the hell do i need to know this stuff, it's pointless. biology pisses me off
