as a child we had bbq ever night for dinner in the summers, and every other night all other times of the year. my dad is a bbq master. steaks marinated in beer and garlic were an early favourite of mine, but a good steak grilled au natural is fabu. grilled pork chops are also tasty, and lime with a lemon/rosemary marinade. fish if it's cooks in a foil boat can be tasty too. chicken smothered in bbq sauce (memphis style) is quick and easy. as for grilled veggie, potatoes, zuchinni and eggplant all work well. bell peppers can be okay. when i think of more stuff, i'll let you know.

and remember, don't salt the meat when it's on the grill, only pepper it. salt will make it dry out.

but you have to make is a good burger...

when making a burger out of ground beef don't over work the meat by patting/packing it too much. if you make a patty thick and tenderyly, it will cook up fabulously.

don't poke your sausages when grilling them, and don't cook them on too high of a flame. that way they will cook evenly, but not burn.

There's a shop round the corner that only sells sausage (was a bit disappointed first time I went in there, was expecting lines of fit women).

You can buy a selection of many different types, bbq them all and do the taste test, or go for lucky dip.

Oh and nothing beats undercooked burnt chicken with mexican chili sauce.

chicken is deceptively easy. you either dry it out or undercook it. that's why marinades work so well with it- keep it moist.

giggly, you should come to one of my father's bbqs. i learned it all from him.

I've never had rabbit, it would make a welcome change. When I fed my mates rabbit I was actually quite worried as it was huge, but I would have no problem with frying or roasting it.
