Are there no windows in your car? :D

Course there are, but you can't leave them open all the time, so if you drive somewhere & park it up, when you get back in or when you first get it you practically burn your hands on the steering wheel!

Plus I haven't got electric windows, so if I go down a fast road & want to put the windows up, I have to bloody wind them up & it takes ages. :(

I love the heat, it's fantastic - I can see days of lying in the park for my lunch hour coming up.

Hope I can get a tan for tomorrow afternoon, when I am entertaining a guest...

Have fun, :) I'm sure Shetland won't get that warm, 20'C is heatwave material, the highest ever is 22 me thinks. Either way, I'll be in an office or something.

Well I've got a fantastic day on Wednesday. A driving lesson in a red hot car and a trip to the hairdressers where I will have the hot hair dryer. So on Wednesday if you see a little puddle then it might be me.

What a great question from someone else who obviously understands the whole thing about the satisfaction to be had from digging a big hole on the beach....

Well it was a square hole with sides of about 2 feet and was about 3 - 4 feet deep. Then the tide came in and filled it with water. The plan was to make it with sides of about four feet and deep enough to stand in....

making holes then letting the tide fill them up is one of the most satisfying things to do on a beach. only bettered if its a moat round a sandcastle.

I used to love doing that when I was on holiday. Wouldn't do it at the beach near me, its always got condoms on it and bits of toilet roll. Plus it stinks of sewage and has massive GM jelly fish.

When I was younger we used to build dams on the little streams that went across the beach...but then all the other kids used to do the same thing on this tiny stream so there would be dam wars and everyone would fight and throw sand and the parents would have to come break it up. Ah the memories.

I went to the zoo yesterday but it was too hot and all the animlas were alseep...part from the monkeys which never * shut up.

penguins are the best at zoos i could watch them for hours. i love the way i always tried to build a moat to stop the sea getting my sandcastle an was gutted when it did. cos i really thought i could stop the whole sea.....
