did anyone see it on BBC4 last week? It was only the second time it has ever been shown on TV, the first being in 1985 i think, when their was the threat of Nuclear war. I thought it was amazing, but so freaky, because what they showed was totally possible of actually happening, it was horrible!

So if you saw it, or if you have seen it before, what did you think of it?

*edit* i just found out it was broadcast in 1984 not 1985, sorry!

Just to scare Sidla again - it was filmed in Sheffield.

I'm sure we've spoken about this before. Tis a great tv prog. Very well made - they banned it because it scared the shit out of people. Obviously the Cold war was around that time - so I think it was a wise choice not to broadcast it.

it wasnt threads that was banned, it was another one, that was filmed in 1970's and wasnt shown till 1985 cos they thought it was too disturbing!

was this the brutal Iceland v Kwik Save wars of the 1970's and 80's? i tell ya it was fish fingers at dawn and at one point i actually thought somebody would use the chicken kievs.

i hated the bit when the girl had her kid right at the end and it was stillborn and mutated (i presume it was mutated cos of the fallout and the pregnancy thing it showed earlier in the film). That freaked the hell outta me!
