You know when I saw that they were putting a show with Des OConnor and Melanie Sykes I laughed but it actually worked which I was surprised. Though Mel Sykes intelligence is still somewhat lacking although she can now string a sentence together without the aid of a clipboard like on the Big Breakfast.

So Des and Mel go off at Xmas and theres a new show for 3 weeks up to Xmas. ITV looked at the successful pair and thought, "Lets get another pairing thats doomed to fail and it might surprise us"
