Is anyone listening to Avid Merrion on radio 1's one night stand? It sounds like Chris is controlling the desk for him. All it is is basically Avid sating what the next record is and it been played.

Actually, that would make sense. Maybe they recorded it when Avid came in for Chris's birthday after the show. Wouldn't even take an hour to do would it? You just get some BA to sit there on the night and mix the clips with the tunes.

but then again, looking at the webcam archive for today - it wasnt on during Chris' show either. So maybe its broken!

However, if you were the radio one bosses would you let Avid Merrion do a one off show live? I'd want proof that there wasnt any "obscene" stuff in it if I was Parfitt.

Usually you have people saying the text number or station number. Surely it was a big giveaway that it was pre-recorded. Was this not obvious with the trailers that they've been playing?

Yep, that's right. Chris said last Tuesday (when discussing the birthday show guests) that Avid only came in because he was doing a pre-record for another show afterwards. Dave of course said it was pure coincidence..
