Just announced, and Two nomination for Chris:

The Daily Music Show of the Year
Drivetime - Classic FM
Lunchtime with Ace and Invisible - BBC 1Xtra
Robin Banks - Kiss 100
Sam Heywood in the Afternoon - Viking FM
The Chris Moyles Show - BBC Radio 1

The DJ of the Year
Bam Bam - Kiss 100
Chris Moyles - BBC Radio 1
Christian O’Connell - XFM
Jo and Twiggy - 96 Trent FM
Jonathan Ross - BBC Radio 2

What does everyone think about his chances? I think he is in with a small chance with the Daily Music Show as the others aren't very good, but I don't think he has a hope in hell for DJ of the year as two of the judges favourites are in there (Christian O’Connell and Jonathan Ross). He also won a silver for this award when he did early breakfast.

At least Ricky sodding Gervais isn’t in there this time.

The awards are for the afternoon show not breakfast so i doubt the breakfast show figures will help anything here.

Did Ross get Dj of the year last year?

I don't think the figures count at all, remember Chris was beaten by some local radio bloke last time? It could include some breakfast material, as it says the closing date for entries was 28 January 2004.

DJ of the year is new, apparently. Ross would have won it if it existed.

It doesn't really matter if Chris wins, he has the top job anyway.

I was going by what Ananova said, admitedly not the most reliable source.

Ananova wrote:Moyles, now Radio 1's breakfast host, is also nominated for daily music show of the year for his old drivetime slot.

As far as I know, it is. He used to do the breakfast show on Beat 106 when it first launched. - jc

Good to see Chris getting some recogntion this year.

I think he'll get Daily Music Show with Ross getting DJ of the year.

Can't help but note the lack of Radio 1 nominees in the other categories though.

The BBC still dominates radio though. Can't believe that 12 days of christmas crap is nominated.

Today In Norfolk - BBC Radio Norfolk... Come on.

Everyone is saying that Jonathan Ross will win, which I would agree with and in my eyes deservedly so as well, that show he does is quality (although Moyles is good at the moment too.)
