Just wondering if anyone else is listening too it? What do you think?

Spending a day in the office, is rather good ooh-ing and aah-ing over songs I haven't heard for so long. Right now...I'm Still Standing, by Elton John, rather uplifting on a Monday morning. It's a refreshing change for Radio 1 anyway.

Its been a lot better then a random weekday, thats for sure.

Hanson mmmbop, Spice Girls Wannabe and Bart Simpson - Do The Bartman.

Honourable mention to Wham - Last Christmas too.

Brilliance.

its great. When Edith played Betty Davis Eyes this morning, I thought oooh yes.

I requested the holiday rap twice, and black box recorder the facts of life once... never played.

Edith was good, didnt hear much of Vermin, but Scott seems to be playing lots more current hits, almost like the normal playlist which is rubbish.

Full crediit to Edith for refusing to play current stuff when the other two went running for the playlist every couple of songs. If you could have anything you wanted played on Radio 1, anything at all. Would you really choose Sugababes Hole in the Head or Usher? Hmm.

Plus I was trying to get through all day. I called at least 30 times at various times and didn't even manage to get the phone answered!! I was going to ask for SL2, On a Ragga Tip as well!! Possiblity of a crafty pre-record?

Lets remember that the target audience is 15-24, so people in the lower quater of that range probably have never heard some of the songs been played, never mind know them to request them so will probably be requesting more current records.

3 Foo Fighters tracks in one day is commendable. And Vernon forgot about the "s**t" in Monkey Wrench!! Ha! Come to think of it, so did Moyles on Friday!

Oh, I like the Foos. Radio one doesn't play that much rock and indie crap...I tend to think its more urban, r & b, rap, black styles of music...such as 50 Cent, Sean Paul, etc. But that's my opinion.

Surely Hip Hop and R&B can bugger off to 1Xtra now? I'm sure that's why that station was brought about, so they could reduce the play time on R1 without too much backlash.

I must have heard them literally 100s of times but I honestly couldn't name one of their songs. Does bland rock exist?
