Im currently watching the 100 Greatest World Cup Moments (what on earth could be number 1 I wonder...?) on Channel 4 and was wondering what everyones best moments are of the World Cup. Mines would have to be:

In 98 the Argentinean player flying about 50 feet after that pathetic kick from Beckham;

That amazing free kick by Brazil against England in 2002;

My team Jamaica qualifying for the first time ever in 98.

the bulgaria game in usa 94 where the goalposts broke and they took about 20 minutes bringing another set on.

The england 5-1 germany match was a great night watching the game, but for the final's i would have to go for beckham's penalty against argentina as my most favourite world cup moment

Actually, I've changed my mind. Heskey's goal in the 5-1, because it's such a rare event.

Why where they showing World Cup moments, I thought this was a Euro thing? As someone who doesn't watch football, my favourite football related moments are all water cannon and other extreme crowd control based, particularly from 2000. Classic.
