is it me or is the quality of listen again getting so much better?

even though it says it's playing at 46kbps, it sounds very close to DAB quality

remember, 46kps real media quality is a lot better than 46kps mp3 quality...

Yes, and DAB is MP2 with tonnes of error correction so Real Media is significantly better like for like. The new version of Real Player is good too – a lot less buffering.

Is it just me or has the volume of the listen again started going up and down a bit?

Todays show was really good. Having woken up about about 6 this morning, I actually managed to listen to the whole show. Some of the links were great.

Sounded really good throughout the show.

The listen again is taken direct from the studio levels before being put through all the compresors/limiters and what ever you have... so it never sounds as smooth levels as what normal radio does...
