Well, apart from the numourous appearances on radio 1 in the past two weeks it turns out that hes been doing some announcing on UKTV Gold. How does he find the time to do all these things, Is he freelance to be working on a non BBC channel.

Yeh Chappers has been doing it for some time now like any other Radio personalities they'll take any work. They are recorded weeks in advance and are often repeated on countless occasions. Oh and i don't think it's part owned by the BBC anymore i think its Flextech (Telewest) and BSkyB

are you sure? I read somewhere that a lot of the UKTV playout things are now all based at the BBC TVC

Yeah from what I can tell edited sitcoms mainly. I remember watching Red Dwarf on it once and they'd cut out a whole joke because it had the word 'b*stard' in it, and there were other similar cuts too. This screening was at about 11PM!
