I'm not dismissing Murray's chances because I don't think he is good. I actually really like his game, its more interesting and has more variety than most of the other top players, so is often great to watch. There's just something - I don't know, I just can't see him winning a slam title. I can't put my finger on why.

I think he's a victim of being in the wrong era - most other eras and he'd have had the world number 1 slot a couple of times and grabbed maybe two or three slams - and I don't like Murray, but I do believe that's true. As you know, like you, I thought that was his best chance - and probably will the best chance he gets - to win one, but it's still not impossible.

On a related note - the women's doubles final just ended. It lasted about 80 minutes, of which tennis was actually played for 6 minutes and 50 seconds. We've timed men's matches before too and they are even worse in terms of time the ball is in play. The amount of time spent between points is getting ridiculous in tennis, it needs to be sorted out. Ban towels except at the change of ends. That would be a good start.

Not sure if you saw, I retweeted someone I follow who had a few ideas to improve tennis.. I'll find it, hold on.

So, my plan to reform tennis: one serve, no towels, no shouting, everyone plays best of 5. Simple.
