I've been to a 24 hour drive through Krispy Kreme doughnut place about 45 minutes out of Pittsburgh. It was packed at two in the morning for gods sake. But the donuts are the best in the world.

I love Krispy Kreme doughnuts... but £1 per doughnut! They're for occasional consumption only.

And the ones you get here, whilst better than anything else you can get, still aren't anywhere near as good as the ones I had in Pittsburgh.

Now I REALLY want a donut.

In selfridges at the bullring they have a krispy kreme section and they are all freshly made and glazed infront of you on a machine.

They have a similar set up in a few places. They still aren't as good as the American ones though, not quite. I wouldn't say no though.

Well, technically, the date format I'm assuming could put it in any one of a number of places, even when you consider that there are dollar signs on there too... and I don't know American number formats.

Nope, the clincher for me was the fact that it's a drive through doughnut outlet!

It's because we're all fat. If we had to get out of our cars to get the doughnuts, we'd burn some calories rolling into the shop and that wouldn't do.
