So looking in the Freshers website for the Uni I'm hoping to go to in September I found out that in Freshers week, Matt Edmondson, Greg James, Rizzle Kicks and others are playing. They could be good nights but it says you need to buy tickets but it seems a bit weird buying tickets for myself when I could get there and find out that nobody in my flat or on my courses are going so then I'd be by myself which would be slightly weird. Anyone who has been to Uni in the last few years able to fill me in on things like this?

If you fancy it, just buy tickets. Trust me, over the next few Uni years you'll be meeting (and shagging*!) many new people! Why not get cracking straight away! Even if 'little-ben' doesn't get an airing, i'm sure you'll 'ave a few ace nights.

No its not, youff. Its freshers week. If you are able to identify between people you know and complete stragers, you clearly have not got the idea of freshers week and you need to try harder!

Honestly, try not to worry about it mate, yes the first hour may be odd, but you'll soon be in the flow and forget all about it, and i'm sure you'll meet many new lovely peeps.
