Not really. Rasism is only rasisim if it's used in an offensive way. I am 100% certain Topher isn't racist, so his use of the word 'chinky' can hardly be considered racist.

what ever. you might not be a full racist, but as gaspode astutely pointed out, it is a slipperly slope. using such words just shows some innate sentiment. you can say other things to describe chinese take-away. don't be lazy.

I just use slang a lot, just like, a lot of the time I refer to the Irish as paddies, americans as yanks, australians as aussies, etc.

I may not be the most politically correct person in the world, in fact sometimes I am probably damn offensive (not intentionally, I just don't pull punches), but I am not a racist.

i hate the fact that pretty much everyone i know hates americans and say the most horrible things about how everyone should just carpet bomb them instead of other countries etc. but no matter what they say, its not classed as being racist because generally, the american race is white and they get away with saying it but if i said just carpet bomb africa because all africans are useless, no doubt, i'd be called racist!!!!!!

There are american people I like. When I lived there for a couple of years I met some very nice people. It's just the overall culture that gets too twisted.

It's not considered racist when the majority of them use the term for themselves.
