'Boy in da Corner' won the mercury prize last night which i thought was weird considering The Darkness sounding like Queen and the awards being named after the late great Freddie Mercury. 'Boy in da corner' is an good album using hiphop, Breakbeat and Drum 'n' Bass but i thought The Darkness had it in the bag

I'm glad Dizzee Rascal won it The Darkness will probably win a load of brit awards anyway. I'm surprised the Darkness didn't get it but they say the peoples favorites never win. Anyways The Streets and Floetry have been nominated for the U.S equivalent of the Mercurys

I knew Dizzee Rascal would win it and he rightfully did, his current single is fantastic. The Darkness shouldn't have been nominated in the first place, the only awards they belong at are Smash Hits and the Brits

Yes it is, it orginally started back in 92 the year after Freddie died and Roger Taylor and Brian May presented the first award to the winner which I think was Primal Sceam. The very first Mercury trophie was a cold Freddie with his one arm in the air pose, it's been changed now but thats what it started as.

Well, not really because before I didn't know that the Mercurys were named after Freddie and now I do, so I've just learnt something

Sidla learn that Dizzee is genious, his lyrics are mint...remember Wyclef/Dizzee freestyle and that stuff. His voice is top too. Listen to the album and buzz it.

Admittedly the Wyclef thing was good, but I don't like the singles.
