Oooo, hard one. The Magicians Nephew was great, as was The Lion..., but I think I'd have to say The Last Battle, purely for the last few chapters. It was so sad and so beautifully done, the end of entire world that actually didn't end at all. I've lost count how many times I've cried and how many times I've been amazed at the genuis of C.S. Lewis. What are you studying them for anyways?

Sometimes I just don't understand americans. I was just looking on the net for details of an old animated version of the Lion the witch and the wardrobe that I once watched. And came across a message board with people discussing it.

They even mentioned the original name - "THE LAND OF OOM".

This was because, when Lucy first discovered this world, it was hidden in their spare--oom (extra 'r' was too dusty to see).

For those who don't get this pun (I didn't at first either), a spare room is the same as a walkin closet, but its not in the wall.

Traditionally, a spare room is made of wood (eventhough it gets damp and warps), and stands on its own unattached from the wall.

Ta mate, it's the only one I remember other than The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe. I did loads of reading as a kid, then I stopped and don't have time now. Don't even watch tht many films any more, although I want to get back into doing that.

its one of the few things that was actually done very well on the tv. i saw the lion the witch and the wardrobe as a play when i was at school it was amazing.

As far as I know the Lion.. was actually the first one written, CS Lewis added The Magicians Nephew as a prequel after writing it, then went on with the rest of the series.

Stupid Yanks! You know they Changed Maugrim's name to Fenris Ulf! I ask you! I know because of of my boxed sets is American! I have all four of the films, I saw them all in my local second-hand Music/Film/Game Shop (Acorn - Nab) for £3.95 and I couldn't resist!
