The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Hey hey...haven't been here in a while!!!

Many reasons for this...computer being non-existent, and then moving to university, which is where I am now.

I'm at the University of Stirling doing Film and Media along with French and Politics. It's really good here, and they have an excellent F&M department, as well as other great areas (SCUBA club, student radio station, etc).

It seems like I've missed out on a fair bit the time I've been away - I only found out Will was leaving when I heard on the radio on Monday (I dunno when you all found out, but I couldn't even listen to the show before for ages as I was working whilst it was on, etc, etc.

How is everyone? I've noticed a fair few new people around since I've been 'away'...hello to you all!

I don't know how often I'll be abke to spend on here, but hopefuly I'll be able to at least log on every second day or so...certainly a lot more than I could before!

I's nice to be back (sorry Gaspode)

'FD' :D

Hey FD - Hope Stirling is cool.. You're Degree gets a Bloody hell rating of 9 out of 10.. Joint degree, eh? Did you have to AAAAAAAABB in your highers to do that degree? Like how you linked us to your uni website as well. Very kind of you. So for the next year - its * girls and drinking beer etc, going to the uni and basically having a good time.

You havent missed much to be honest. Im sure someone will update u. The site gets regular plugs from Chris Moyles now. Its like second nature here now. Getting used to it. Forgot how many mentions this week. About 10?

Anyone doing a media degree has made a crap decision. What are you going to do? BA for the rest of yourlife? Film small arty films and corporate videos?

You did a stirling job of being rather harsh there.. Some people do find really good jobs after doing a media course - some also do joint degrees. For example Media Course with Chris Moyles Studies..

Notice he's doing French and Politics as well.

Some even go on to doing a MA/MSc or PDip or whatever Hoare has.

Doing a Media Degree doesnt mean your gonna go into working with the media.

People who do History degrees - what are they gonna work in Museum for the rest of their lives, eh? Tourism - work in a information kiosk?

American studies - waste of time..

She can't actually, so she's probably got a good chance of getting in the adverts then I suppose.

A history degree is a more intellectual degree than media. I know what media involves, i did an A Level in it. Least stressful a level ever but explaining that to employers, future sponsors, universities is difficult. They look at it and think "media? Lightweight".

Media is not looked upon as history is fact.

Good to know, thanks!
