I try getting into the chat room and a message comes up saying I need to download java, I click on the download button and it takes me to a microsoft page which says 'We're sorry, you cannot view this page because it requires the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (MSJVM). Your machine does not have the MSJVM installed.' Thats what I'm trying to download but it wont let me so can someone please help.

Have you tried any of the other options on the chat page?

If they still don't work best thing would be to get mIRC.

It's because microsoft aren't allowed to support java anymore(some free Language hey) and you have to get it from the sun microsystemswebsite as they are the one's who created java.

Oh yes I forgot that you need to make sure that you have all the nessasary service packs for your OS.

This probably won't be a popular suggestion, but if you download Netscape it will work.

If you are going to get a different browser you might aswell get a better one like Firebird.

But as previously suggested, just use mIRC for chat.
