OK, thanks for the great feedback, here's an answer to many of the common points and questions that have been asked and mentioned so far.
Chatroom
The regular geekchat wasn't closed for any other reason than for staffing issues - honest! We weren't able to regularly do it, so rather than just mess people round and have people not knowing when we were chatting, we took the decision to stop.
Site Updates
Again, it's down to the reality of staffing again. We're not asking for sympathy, but just so you understand how it works, a DJs minisite has one person assigned to it, with them working across other pages on the site as well. There's only so much that one person can do. However...
Paying people for writing reviews
Well, it's not going to happen... However if any of you want to help out on the site as you do here then get in touch and let us know. It's how you work here, and it works well and we'd like to get more of your input into the site. However, we don't want to pee off anyone here either, so it's your call. If people really do want to do this, then let us know here, or through the feedback page again. We could work something out if you do something with us… I don't know - these are all just ideas off the top of my head and will take a bit more thought, but if there's any interest, we can talk, and we should probably involve Chris (not Moyles, the webmonkey here!).
The Messageboards
We are aware our messageboards have their limitations. However, they have to be moderated for obvious reasons, and as we (within Radio 1) can't possibly moderate everything that comes through our boards, we are only able to get help with this within the BBC system. We are always trying to improve them, but bear in mind a technical change on our board would mean a change on ALL boards which takes time and negotiation - a slow progress. It may take ages but we know what we want and what works, don't worry about that!
As for the content of the board and the people on it, well… only you can change that... I get shouted down on the board for one reason or another, so if you want to change it, the only way is to roll your sleeves up, get stuck in and stay there. I know this is a great community here though, and you've found your happy home here though, so again - this isn't temptation, but if you feel that strongly about it, it's up to you to get involved.
Listen again
There's a number of reasons why certain shows aren't available through Listen Again, which are SO BORING that I'm not going bother going into them here, but the points are noted. Ta.
