i really like "bad day." it reminds me of the 'good ol' days'- when they were on IRS.

REM was my favourite band for 6 years... then new adventures in hi-fi came out, and it was all over.

Apparently they started writing Bad Day in the 80s or something like that - the message on the inlay card on the CD says 'the sad thing is nothing has changed since then' (I was bored so I read it).

they are one of the most obnoxious adult contemporary wannabe alternative bands out there. they reached their mediocre peak about 5 years ago and then they got really fat. ahh... the excess of success.

they're not the worst on the spectrum. i think i dislike them so much because their lead singer is a complete jerk and is on every single one of those top 10 lidt shows on VH1.

matchbox 20 is no the bottom of the barrell, but they embody the excess that mediocre bands who are trying to reinvent the wheel shouldn't. i hate people who want to be rockstars. it's lame.
