i just lost the tip of my pencil in the palm of my hand. i squeezed some of it out, but there's still a chunk in there which i can't get out. i disinfected the wound and such, but what's going to happen to the graphite? am i going to die?

i'm not really sure. i think i was putting my pencil back in my desk and thinking about my idiotic co-workers and how they made our files a complete disaster.

If it makes you feel any better, I still have a piece of pencil graphite in my hand after a fight involving pencil stabbing..I'm still here. Most of it comes out after a while, so it's an ickle grey dot now.

Since graphite is a form of carbon(as is diamond) I'm guessing that it would give you, um, carbon poisoning

one of my mates still has a bit of pencil graphite stuck in his hand from the first year at school when we were fighting.

thats nowt, when i were a lad my mate decided to wave a compass about in a maths lesson, slipped out of his hand (so he claims) and stuck in my cheek for a couple of seconds before falling out.

it was one of them classic compasses with a long spike too, not one of those crappy new safety one which hardly have a point.

ive got a black dot scarred on my cheek but thats it

that's amazing. the pencil tip is still in there, and i hope it doesn't get infected. pencils made of lead would be heavy and kill you- what's the use of that?
