There's been quite a few songs I really liked this year, mainly ones already named by others who also have particularly good taste  . But, off the top of my head, my favourites would definitely include:

Beyonce - Crazy in Love
Electric 6 - Gay Bar
Muse - Hysteria
Outkast - Hey Ya
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can't Stop
Gary Jules - Mad World
And the first Kings of Leon one - Mollys Chamber

Edit - This year seems to have dragged an awfully long time, so I have erased the ones fae 2002..Roll on 2004, it better be better than this year.

I think albums are a better guide to an artist as a whole, so I'm gonna give my top 5 albums of the year :)

1) Jet - Get Born
2) Muse - Absolution
3) Britney - In the Zone
4) Pink - Try This
5) Radiohead - Hail to the Thief

That's a diverse list. I suppose albums are more fair.

I haven't bought that many albums this year, but my favourite is the Best of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. But that's a mixture of their best and a few new ones, so that's not really a representation of 2003.

Yes but it was still realesed in 2003 so therefore its a representation of 2003. Its one of my favourites aswell along with The Thrills, The White Stripes and The Darkness.
