Sorry for any inconvinience but this isn't a Chrismoyles.net question but a R1 question. My computor wont let me open the files found on BBC pages like on the Mark and Lard page http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/markandlard/audio/ Your help would be much appriciated

Have you got real one player? It won't let me either. I wanted to listen to Janes addiction in th live lounge but it won't play.

Windows Media Player wont work with Real Media files which the BBC use for all their listen again stuff. You NEED Real One.

I recommend you download Real One. It's free and is very useful. There is also a program called Real Alternative which is supposed to be smaller but does the same, but I have not seen it yet...

This works with the BBC listen again and is a lot better than real one as they don't send your listening infomation to real
it can be downloaded here but I recomend that you have a popup blocker.

i got real player n all that aswell so my computer just uses whatever program it needs.

i dont have realplayer, full of spyware, thats where all those spam emails you get come from.

Funny cos I've had Real One for ages and i don't get much spam.

I doubt a big company like them are going to send spam emails are they. Unless you choose to allow them to pass on your details. In that case it's your own fault for choosing to recieve the emails.

I use it for listening to net radio (even mp3 streams sound better in it), use it for writing CDS and uploading tracks on to minidisc. Dont get much spam, and if configured properly wont take over your computer like some people complain about...

How do you configure it to not do that. Thats what my dad moans at so I'm not allowed to have it.

Just make sure its not the default for CD's and MP3's etc (unless you want it to be) and close the thing that automatically runs when you start your PC and it will give you an option never to run again on startup.

My Real One now sits on my machine fine and never comes up unless I want it to...

Mine does that every time I try and skip to a point. If its not working just rewind a little bit and it should work.
