I went and bought series 1 which says 1981 on the case. Classic grandad in those. I also bought series 5 a while back which is good but I prefer series 1. Series 5 is 1986.

Albert is good you know, although you are right, Grandad is best... To be honest, anything before they won the money is worth forking out for.

Presumably you are on about the 'during the war' catchphrase? I disagree, he had some more good moments, the main other one that sticks in my mind is when he drank Cassandra's urine specimen, believing it to be off-apple juice.

It's Albert all the way, Grandad was never really funny. Where as Albert was brilliant like the coffee/gravy mix up.

I agree! Grandad said some funny lines, and was involved in hilarious stunts, but Albert was much better!

i watched the first three episodes... i quite liked them. i wish more of them would show up on bittorrent so i could download them.
