The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Is it just me or has 2004 not only brought us the Chris Moyles breakfast show, but a different type of show when listening to Moyles.

Whether it was the case or not, when Moyles was on in the Afternoon it always seemed to me that Chris' attitude was that of, if you like what you're listening too then cool, but if you don't like it then bye! With the brekkie show Chris has had alot of BBC faith placed in him to restore the 7am (6:55) slot to it's past glory.

Safe to say that as Moyles beds in the show will develop its own style and hopefully people will recognise what a quality DJ he is regadless of his attitude on air.

Maybe I should just shut up and let the rest of you get a word in.

P.S. I miss the Afternoon show.

i noticed a huge difference in the first hour of today's show.

they all sounded settled in and it was just an hour of banter and mocking aled and the news team like the old days.

also funny because everyone else starts to gang up on chris after the news chat (including dave) and you hear the best of them all being witty.

I was thinking today that the show is pretty much back to how it was in the afternoons, except without such a big rambling link at the start.

I havnt listened to the last hour yet, but I felt today was the weakest - maybe because they were all slightly more laid back now.

Another thing I have noticed... the first hour is completely different to the normal show. It's almost like Chris is aware there will be the most people listening in this hour, and people that arent part of the Moyles cult so he seems to be slightly different... playing more records etc. Come 8 oclock it goes slightly off this style, and the last hour is more like the normal afternoon show where he thinks people are mostly listening because they are fans of the show.

However that might just be me...

The last hour was good today actually. I agree about the new style though - three days this week he has played ten songs first hour (well from 6.55-8.00) and today he played eleven...

But on a normal show in the afternoon he would usually play 5 tracks every half hour on a NORMAL show without any long ranty links... so that isnt really any extra.

but he has two news bulletins (at 7am and 7:30) plus about 10 mins of chat with newsreaders in total.

In the afternoons he only had one news bulletin per hour and chatted to the newsreaders for less than five minutes most of the time.

oh but the 5 songs only lasted for an average of 3.234 minutes while in the afternoon the average was regularly above 3.351 minutes.

Actually i have been trying to listen to the show but i only end up catching about an hour here and there. It seems to me that at first it didn't have the same feel to it - kind of dull really. It's picking up now - i actually burst out laughing this morning when they did the whole 'team picking' thing to go and interview Renee Zell-thingy-ma-jig. I'm hoping this is the sign of things to come but like you say, he does have a lot of pressure from the beeb on this one and perhaps that will make it sound less haphazard and more predictable because of increased planning ahead.

Oh, and Uglybob - i agree with your siggy. Blackadder doesn't deserve credit because of that stupid gimp who is behind it. *nods* Wise words indeed. ;)

Only Chris, Dave and Juiliette went with Dom. It was fair to say the interview ws rubbish.

i've never been impressed with renee in interviews... she's sort of spacey.

i think i'd rather take the opinion of former journo and cambridge lights starlet john sergeant over moylesworld reviewer uglybob in this instance. No offence.

Besides, blackadder was co written by richard curtis which helps cancel out the much malingered ben elton effect.

The real injustice was that the vicar of dibley is in the top ten whilst wolfie smith wasn't in the charts(hopes people forget richard curtis wrote the vicar of dibley).

Democracy is rubbish because there's to many plebs in the world.

theres no point anyway supporting blackadder. Fawlty Towers is 4/6 on favourite with Only Fools and Horses the only other contender.
