I know the Radio One webcam has always been a little bit tempremental with its update times, but is it either completely screwed or is it the thing for this site fetching the images... because it barely ever matches up in the archive.

I've checked the scripts that create that page and don't see anything wrong (that's not to say there isn't). It would be helpful if someone could look at the actual webcams one morning to see.

The images are grabbed at five minutes past the hour, and then every ten minutes after that (despite saying 02, 12 etc.)

The Webcam seems to be only taking photos every 20 minutes and when the pictures do come up on the page they are 20 minutes late.

I'd assume what is shown on the archive in the site is therefore an accurate record of inaccurate webcams.

i noticed lately, especially when celebrities come in, they purposely stop the cam ??????? I have no idea why. Especially when victoria came in. I only saw one cam shot the moment b4 she left. Bit odd BBC, get it right.

They tend to stop it before they have a pre recorded celeb in so you don't notice. I am not sure what happened when Victoria was in, though.

Chris, I think you ought to extend the camera 2 shots or so, as it seems to suffer a bit of a delay.

The http://www.chrismoyles.net webcam archive seems to be 10 minutes later than the bbc feed (ie the picture for 9:31 appears at 9:21 in the archive), is this something you can easily rectify chris?

Can i be a real pain and ask how do you capture the webcam pics onto a page like that i think thats amazing.

I'd love to know so i could capture my pictures from my radio show if someone could help please.

A scheduled script runs on a linux machine, grabs the images every ten minutes, resizes each, repackages the page and automatically uploads it to the main server.
