I'm a huge Oasis fan so I'm slightly biased but Justin Hawkins is just firing cheap digs for no reason. As far as I'm aware Oasis haven't done anything to pee them off and he's just after all the publicity he can get...cos he knows he'll be a forgotten man in a couple of years time.

They where good in the 90s but now it just seems too much.

I don't understand the "too much" reference. They've not had an album out for 2 years...roll on September.

I bought Standing On The Shoulder of Giants and only listened to it once, it was just so dull. I know people say that the last album was better, but judging from the singles I can't imagine it being much better. I don't deny that Definitely Maybe etc. was great, but I can't help them thinking it would have been better to quit on a high. Maybe people remain fans just because they are still fashionable? I don't know. They just fail to produce something new.

I don't see why Justin should say he thinks they are over rated if he thinks that, it's fairly constructive.

Any negative publicity Oasis get is thier own fault, they have pissed of so many people in the past and they must take the rough with the smooth. Now ask any guitarist to play an Oasis song and play a Darkness song and tell me which one is easier to play. Oasis songs are easy chords and easy riffs the Darkness on the other hand play much more complex music.

Easier than oasis? no the Darkness guitar is far superior to Oasis, and the drum programming is too. Hence the fact that Noel now plays drums.

Noel Gallagher is and will always be a twat. In a recent article he had a pop at The Darkness, Blur, Suede, The Flaming Lips, BRMC and The Strokes. And this is coming from a guy who's been creatively dead for 9 years, whilst these other bands (and until recently Suede R.I.P), have been churning out good material.
