It has freshened things up anyway. The only thing I still don't like about the show is Chris talking during/interrupting the news...

Thats alright I think. He doesn't do it with the important news and it's funny when he talks about the stuff like Janet Jacksons tit hanging out but then again he could do that after the news...

I agree. Most of the time it's just a bit cringeworthy listening to it and it's like he feels he has to say something just for the sake of it. If he wants to chat about the stuff in the news that day then wheres the harm in doing it after the bulletin has finished?

Didn't he say all that at the end of the news anyway. If he didn't he could have. It's just an awful idea, I like my news and this just messes it up.

As thingy says, there are fewer links with nothing in, there used to be loads of reference of filling or padding.

i missed the first couple of weeks of the breakfast show, after listening to virtually every afternoon show since '98. i think at worst it is as good as the afternoons show, and quite a few bits are better.

as people have said not so much padding and not so many stupid features that last only a week or two (eg. daves dictionary definitions) tho that was part of what made it funny, stupid, made up on the spot features.

after listening to the breakfast show now i would conclude that it is slightly better than the afternoon show. (by this i mean better than excellent!)

i dont think its needed to talk during the news, just talk after. its not as if the R1 newsbeat bulletins r that long, abut 2mins or something. i dont see why they decided it was a good idea.

I think it's posibly because people used to like moyles talking to the news readers and so they thought it would be good to see if they liked this new style.

The breakfast shows are deffinetly better. The last few months of afternoons were lacking something, and there werent really going anywhere. There is deffinetly so much more effort put into it now, and it is sounding so much better. Wheter or not it is still like that in a year, I dont know.

Plus having the breakfast show, Moyles is now getting the promotion on the rest of Radio One and the BBC that he deserves there was rarely ever a trail for moyles in the afternoon.
