Peter Andre looks certain to go to number 1 with Mysterious Girl... but he is keeping off Westlife and Obvious. I just wish i had put a bet on last year to say he would have a number 1 this year.

Most likely Chris'll get out the midweeks for a campaign update on Wednesday or Thursday. Only thing I'm unsure of is whether a number 1 debut is some achievement on Moyles' part or something... - jc

I didn't think it would sell well, and reflect badly on Moyles. But think it's a good thing for Moyles if it gets to number one seen as he had a part in it. According to todays metro it's flying off the shelves and selling 2 for every 1 westlife sells.

I don't think people are going to credit Moyles for it, eventhough Ant and Dec did say it was thanks to him on the show. Really anyone could claim to have started the campaign.

Andre's record company recognised Moyles as the one who got it re-realesed. Aren't the sun trying to claim it was them?

Think the woman who does the Bizare column is. Not many people are going to find out what the record company thinks though.

Didn't Top of the pops have Moyles on as the person who got it re-realesed?

Is there not some sort of rule within the BBC that they aren't allowed to speak about midweek sales? Something to do with Radio One having the official chart. I seem to remember a couple of years back Chris and Dave wanting to talk about mid-week sales figures but they weren't allowed to.

Actually MSN have named Moyles:
Feb 2004
Jordan’s shadow re-releases his biggest hit to date (surely ‘Insania’ will be the biggest single EVER!?) due to popular demand and the increasing pressure from larger-than-life Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles. ‘Mysterious Girl’ showcases Peter’s unique vocal range and features the reggae genius of Bubbler Ranx. This is total perfection from the little Aussie who lived the dream of red-blooded males everywhere.

Moyles loves that phrase, "larger than life".

It was the woman at the record company who started it, it wasn't Moyles' idea, he merely endorsed it. It’s good for him to get some press so that people realise Sara Cox isn’t doing the show anymore. The number of singles that sell these days, I would think a joke record such as this with 6m listeners could easily get to number 1.

A lot of people (or young naive girls) will buy it because they've seen him on Celebrity and think he's fit too

Personally I didnt think it would sell, I mean, that song was bad enough the first time 'round without it beig re released.

But it would appear I've been proved wrong. Everyones been walking round singing it at work to the point that I'm actually getting quite addicted to it too. it's a catchy tune, thats why I spose!

Ah good, I kneed an extention of my draining board in the kitchen at home, maybe if the music industry dont work out after Mysterious Girl then the record company could rent him out for a small fee.

And Ladbrokes have closed the book on Insania making it to number one this year. They initially dismissed it as a 50/1 chance but the odds were cut to just 2/1.

It hasn't even been written properly yet has it?
