Jon Culshaw starts his new show at 10pm this evening on ITV. The trailer advert looks really good.

Is anyone planning to watch or did watch it? What did you think of some his impressions?

Just watching it now - who was the Actor who played Claire Short?

Jon Culshaw is great and were only 10minutes in. Footy wives great as always!

it was eddie large as clare short even though i didnt watch it, i saw the clip on des and mel. i have no idea as i rarely watch channel 5.

i didnt watch but generally these shows are rubbish. alistair mcgowan gets away with unfunny jokes yet people still watch. culshaw seems on a similar vain.

I think Culshaw is much better than Mcgowan.

i thought the show was a bit boring....he hasnt changed his act in ages

however trevor macdonald ggaswere very sharp and itv "self defication" rare for that channel....

macgowan is a poor impersinator, the sketches are better, whereas culshaw more sharp impressions, somehow was better on the beeb...

Culshaw's impressionist skills are much better, and he has a far larger range. However, he usually doesn't quite look right. This makes Culshaw better on the radio.

I guess the quality of the material is up to the writers.

His career has done well recently, Steve Penk's lunch time show on Capital FM where Penk got all the credit for the voices to his own prime time ITV show.

You didn't miss much. Just ITV's version of Dead Ringers with Culshaw doing more of the acts. Also no canned laughter, so a stupid person like me didn't always know where to laugh.

the only work jon's done that i found funny has been when he was on chris moyles' afternoon show

i've watched bits of 2DTV and dead ringers, alter ego (was that the name of the show) i never saw

cant say i'm that bothered i'd rather remember how funny he was on chris' show before he couldnt be on because he was working all the time

(i bet most of you are gonna say he was sh*t on radio i actually thought he was funnier on the radio)

He used to appear quite regularly on the Big Breakfast too (He was on the last show) he was quite funny then. I didnt see this weeks show on ITV so I'll watch out for it next week but from what I've heard it's had a bit of a mixed reaction.
