Looking at the new R1 schedule, I notice that Edith Bowman is filling in on a Sunday afternoon for JK and Joel until they arrive at the station in August. So this means that she'll be on every day (with the exception of Saturday) between 1 and 3
Now surely it would have been fair if someone else had got that slot, i.e. the delectable Vicky Marsden - surely one of the most under-rated presenters on the network.
She's been on the station for 4 years, and has rarely been given the opportunity to shine (i.e. in a mainstream slot) - all she has been given is the late night/early morning graveyard slot. Yet, the likes of Vernon Kay (who has only been on air for a couple of months) is given primetime weekend slots. If I was Vicky, I'd be a little pissed off...
