Having another day off school due to snow, I managed to hear all of it.

The first half hour was utter bilge. Chris clearly not being used to that desk, you couldnt hear them properly and they all still sounded hungover.

But it picked up after that. Scott Mills playing carpark catchphrase on a ferry was hilarious.

I listened to the first hour and a bit live before I left for college, will listen again to the rest later. I agree about that first half hour though, it was dire. Chris kept saying the mics were too loud when in fact they were too quiet, he f*cked up the news by pressing the wrong buttons and the links didn't make any sense at all.

Mind you, still much better than Coxy.

Yeah. I woke up, heard the first half hour and couldnt be bothered to stay awake because it was so rubbish. Yet when I woke up at around 9 oclock again it was sounding A LOT better.

I wonder why Newcastle was so much better than Southampton. I guess it was due to tiredness. The show was always rubbish when they did it from Mark and Lard's studio too, maybe best to stay in London.

The bad shows help you appreciate the good ones more. I think most people have work / college / school to go to in the mornings. Also, if you listen over the internet you can skip the awful music. People probably listened from 3 - 5:45.

Towards the end of the afternoon show most were either ok or rubbish. At least on breakfast there seems to be a lot more good shows than average or crap ones.
