On todays show (march 8th 2004) Chris mentions he had a brilliant britney spears toxic parody beore he played the song. He also said he isnt aloud to play it on air.

I was thinking that this site could get in contact with him and get the parody to be sent here for download exclusively from here and we can tell him our thoughts.

Just a little suggestion as i would love to hear it. Anybody got other suggestions?

You're better off asking Aled to be honest rather then go to Chris, but I don't fancy your chances.

ahh, so naive. theres no chance in hell of that parody ever coming here. Theres more chance of Jamelia offering her bum as a sacrifice to me.

But Chris said he welcomed other DJs from other stations asking for a copy because he spent so long on it only to get wasted.

If he was being serious, it may be worth a try

no, its just not going to happen. Granted, if he had played it and 1 week down the line he was asked not to play it by management then we would have it: like the "wankee" advert but unfortunately the BBC are in a bit of a "lets not piss anyone else off as well as labour" tack at the moment so they could do they without a libel on their hands.

I doubt we would ever get it, but Radio 1 online could get it, I was thinking earlier. It was the music department which banned it, rather than some sort of legal thing.

Be interesting if Aled was able to shed some light on why the song wasn't allowed to be played. Bloody Music department - spoilsports if you ask me...
