I'm listening to the extra part of the show now - it's very funny. Just shows how entertaining Moyles and the team are, despite the fact that they have no records to play.

That extra half hour was a success given the spontaneity.

I wouldn't mind a format where they talked for twelve or so minutes each time, and separated the chunks with records and news bulletins. It'd take a hell of a lot of material, though. - jc

I haven't listened to it, but I much prefer the in studio 'chat' to the records, as I think Radio 1's Playlist isn't up to much, and I'm surprised when people say 'i'd wish he'd just shut up and play some music' beacuse the talking between is far more entertaining and is the reason I listen.

Please try and listen to it on Listen Again though. The team were dead chuffed with what we did and we'd really like to get some pay off from it. We've picked possibly the hardest week to beat The Archers as they have the gay kiss story line tomorrow which has been in all the papers so their figures are going to go up even more!

I just listened again - I thought it went okay. Dave spoilt it a bit by constantly referring to how long was left, but it shows how Chris is a radio pro; I doubt many music presenters could just talk for half an hour (even with their sycophantic sidekicks).

I just managed to listen again the Real Audio clip finally managed to work properly. I thought it was brilliant. Definately better than a normal half hour where Chris has to play records of the playlist. I never thought I'd say this, but I look forward to the day that Moyles gets a talk show.
