I seriously cannot believe that Colin and Edith have got a weekday slot.

The fake lie detector thing was built up so much over so long and made up most of their shows material, which then turned out to be fake (and patronising). Maybe i missed the funny side of it?

Then they even compared this featured themselves saying it woudln't be like the fake lie dector. Nearly 2 months of show material about who colin is marrying, even if it was real a crap feature guessing who someone is marrying, then it not been real..and...that's it... Again did i miss the funny side of this? I listened for two months for THAT?

Surely they should be able to come up with so real features that have a point to them.

And about the listen again thing, I think i remember Colin adn Edith saying they would be on listen again when they move.

I haven't heard their show for some time; I take it what happened was Colin said he was getting married so everyone wanted to know who to so he strung it out for months and months, being the only thing people tuned in for and it ended up as a stupid joke?

If they can't do two decent shows a week how the hell can they do five? Even if people do like their show, surely most of them are under 18 and will be at school at the time. Scott Mills is kind of student like, he must be more in tune with this audience?
At least they are tucked up where I can almost never listen to them, but now Vernon! Ahhh!

Colin and Edith started off OK, but these 2 features they've done have really taken the piss. They seem to be acting on the thought, or insinuating that they're main audience is under 16. I've gone off them to the point of actually switching to local Chiltern FM at weekends...

I agree. Has anybody noticed that he has to have the last say in every link? If Edith even dares to talk up to the vocal then he still interrupts her with another one of his "hilarious" comments. I watched him on Ear Candy when I got in last night and he's just as unfunny on that.

I think the figures will plummet in that timeslot when Mark and Lard leave. The only problem is, I can't blame Parfitt for putting Colin and Edith there. He's not got much else to choose from and by all accounts they got good reviews when they filled in for Coxy on breakfast last year.

Harsh. Colin and Edith still make good radio, and Colin, whilst not to everyone's taste, is a funny lad (with, it has to be said, an ace accent).

While the lie detector and mystery bride features were annoying, you can't fault them for keeping listeners (especially new ones) listening to the show.

Well you can seen as after realising that they are just doing crap features people might not listen again = figures dropping?

Mark and Lard had older listeners that weren't Radio1's target audience. Colin and Edith appeal to younger people so i wouldn't be surprised if the figures go down for that slot.

Hey it's not bad going... Two gags in 6 months!! I knew the whole wedding thing was going to be a farce the moment they announced it. Especially in the shadow of the Lie Detector. They'd better smarten thier gags up or they'll have to go. Simple as.
