Top of the Pops presenter Tim Kash is being axed as host of the long-running chart show after just six months in the role, the Sunday Mirror reports today.

The MTV News host was hailed as "the saviour of TOTP" when it relaunched last November in a £1 million revamp. Viewing figures were initially impressive at 5.5m, but have since dropped back to just 3.3m.

Contenders for his replacement include Fearne Cotton and Dermot O'Leary.

personally i think moyles should host it if they want a boost in ratings, and juding by his 15seconds introducing PETER (the legend) ANDRE he blatently is fit for the job!

It used to be the case that Radio 1 presenters also presented Top of the Pops; Noel Edmonds, DLT, Jimmy Savile, Nicky Campbell, Simon Mayo etc. used to, even Jo Whiley and Zoë Ball at one time.

They should have less news etc. on it, it just spoils the flow. Moving it half an hour earlier or later would be a good idea.

Moyles may have a face for radio, but it just doesn't go well on TV. Neither does his presenting skills.

Seriously, you act worse than I did when I first joined (hard to understand I know), just becasue he doesn't like Moyles' tv presenting skills doesn't mean he doesn't like Moyles (or love him as you said).

Live with Chris Moyles was one of the worst bits of TV I have ever seen, really dreadful laddish rubbish. God knows why Channel 5 wanted it back. It wasn't all Moyles' fault, they made him do stupid features such as 'Meet the audience' and read from a newspaper. They went wrong by trying to make the whole thing too fast, unlike the radio show, which rambles on for ages, so all the jokes where crap. Christian O’Connell’s version was only marginally better, but even though the ratings where far worse the press have forgotten about it.

He did once. Well, he co-hosted with Jamie Theakston. They looked like David and Goliath next to each other!

Poo_Select: No, I don't mind - cussing chris moyles' presenting skills, and neither would he really. Infact if he was to come on here, he'd probably agree with us all.

Chris looked nervous. Take Big Breakfast and Live with for example ..., they had me cringing whilst watching them. I stopped watching Live with... because it didn't interest me. There will only ever be one person that can do that sort of show and he's Ginger and used to live in Surrey.

I personally think that chris is alright when it's a tight time gap he's got to do something but when he's just filling or waiting for someone to finish doing something, then he looks nervous.

i sat through every single LWCM, and i have liked every radio show he has done in the last 5 years and i have never thought it was crap and switched off (like you people do)
