So after 10am on weekdays there's pretty much nothing worth listening to on Radio 1. Jo Whiley can be ok, as can Colin & Edith. I'll probably be tuning into afternoons when Scott Mills is on in two weeks (i thought he started today but after Nemone came on that got me reaching for the dial)

The point of my post really is to ask everyone what they think are the radio shows worth listening to from 10 till about 6 in the evening, i have DAB and the net so can get most stuff.

Please help as my ears won't be able to bear Nemone for 2 more weeks!

There is some good stuff in the BBC radio player, Radio 1 & 6 Music specialist, Jonathon Ross on R2 (who was slagging off Moyles on Saturday) etc.

10:40 ish (very rough). He said that Carol Vorderman told him that Moyles was her tea boy when she worked on local radio, which Jonathon found quite amusing. He also found it 'fitting' that Moyles didn't win a Sony.

My personal favourrite moment was when he said he took a first date to see Bottom Live 'around 87/88', he recalled that she had 'something wrong with her marrow and that' and he said it was good that she told that him when she did, cause there would be 'no point on spending money on her if she's gonna die'.

Am I unique in not finding Ricky Gervais funny? Sure, The Office was great but everything else he does seems to be base level humour selling off the back of it. Ricky was actually sacked from XFM a number of years ago and only rehired on the strength of The Office. I tried listening to his radio show a number of times because everyone loves it so, but it did noting for me - Karl seems to carry it and it was dull when he was away. And how annoying is Ricky’s laugh? He IS David Brent.

i dont find him funny, i managed to catch five minutes a re-run of a channel 4 chat/comedy show he did

the only bit of the office i have seen is the infamous/famous dance (whatever you would call it) thats only because of Ross and Leigh Francis (avid merrion)

I don't find him funny either. The Office is good, but only because his character is funny. Whenever I've seen Gervais outside of the office he's been crap.

You've got to judge him on more than 5 minutes though. I mean I found Sean Lock and 15 Storeys High difficult to get into at first, but after a while you got the humour.
